Growth means very little if you lose access to LIVE. Every Gotti TV creator should understand that TikTok's rules apply during LIVE just as they apply to other content on the platform.
Before every LIVE
- Is my environment appropriate?
- Is the content I'm planning permitted?
- Do I have the right to broadcast the content viewers will see or hear?
- Do I understand TikTok's current LIVE rules?
Use moderation tools
- Assign trusted moderators.
- Filter comments.
- Block abusive users.
- Mute disruptive viewers.
- Report serious violations.
- Use TikTok's available LIVE safety controls.
Do not allow your comment section to become an excuse for harassment or prohibited behavior.
Avoid artificial engagement
- Fake viewers
- Fake followers
- Bots
- Artificial comments
- Fraudulent Gifts
- Manipulated engagement
Authentic communities create sustainable growth.
Gifts & monetization
Virtual Gifts are a TikTok platform feature. Creators should never:
- Pressure viewers to purchase Gifts.
- Misrepresent Gifts as direct cash payments.
- Promise prohibited rewards in exchange for Gifts.
- Participate in fraudulent gifting arrangements.
- Attempt to buy, sell or transfer TikTok virtual items outside methods permitted by TikTok.
TikTok controls eligibility for its monetization and virtual-item programs.

Before broadcasting third-party content, ask: “Do I have permission to use this?” Streaming copyrighted television programs, movies, sporting events, music or other protected content without appropriate authorization can create intellectual-property issues.
Protect personal information
Never reveal on camera:
- Passwords
- Financial information
- Private messages
- Identification documents
- Home addresses
- Sensitive personal records
Be particularly careful when screen sharing or moving your camera.
If something goes wrong
- Read the notice carefully.
- Identify the content or behavior involved.
- Review the applicable policy.
- Use TikTok's appeal process if you believe an enforcement action was incorrect and an appeal is available.
- Notify your Gotti TV creator manager if you need guidance.
